Pokemon Trainer Brawl took the switching mechanic to the max with Pokemon Trainer, a three-in-one fighter utilizing the speed of Squirtle, the range of Ivysaur, and the unbridled rage of Charizard. He’s got fast movement, great aerials, fantastic normals, and the unique limit break mechanic that makes him a huge threat even at low percentages. All of that would be a waste if he wasn’t a fun or good characters to use, but fortunately, Cloud is a blast. Cloud Much like Bayonetta, but on an even grander scale, Cloud is a dream character that very few people thought would ever appear in Smash. Not to mention, Egg Lay is arguably the best troll move in the game. Yoshi Of all the fighters, Yoshi is the only one lacking a recovery special move, but hey, who needs it when you’ve got a flutter jump with insane reach and the ability to chuck eggs at your foes? Though his moves demand great precision, those who can master the green dinosaur are well rewarded. Trading Captain Falcon's speed for overwhelming power in almost every attack, the Demon King can be terrifying in hands of a skilled player who knows how to wait for the right moment to punish an opponent's early move with one of his mighty attacks.
Ganondorf Emerging from the shadows as a clone of a very different character, Ganondorf grew into his own as an extremely dangerous and slow fighter. But we also have to appreciate her imposing, intricate design featuring those massive Wicked Weave smash attacks, and just the fact that, hey, it is pretty cool that Bayonetta made it into Smash. We have to recognize that kind of dominance has left an undeniable mark on Smash.
Bayonetta Certain players will forever boo at Bayonetta for pretty much ruining competitive Smash 4 with her dizzying air combos that can quickly turn any match into a one-sided affair.
